This position is responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing enterprise-wide procurement activity data to identify opportunities for service improvement and cost reduction. The Sourcing Analyst Buyer bridges the gap between data analytics, strategic sourcing, and clinical operations to ensure the academic and medical communities have reliable access to high-quality products and services. **Key Responsibilities** **Data Analysis & Strategic Sourcing** - Conduct in-depth analysis of commodity volumes, buying habits, and vendor performance using advanced procurement software systems. - Determine the non-labor financial and operational impact of supply utilization across the academic and medical community. - Compile, compare, and present data-driven reports, graphs, and charts to departmental and supplier management teams. - Identify and implement best-practice methods for integrating new supply sources, new products, and actual product selections on an institution-wide basis. - Establish and drive standards programs for products and services utilized university-wide to optimize inventory and purchasing power. - Participate in special commodity teams for specific one-time or large-scale strategic purchases. - Recommend data-backed vendor and product selections. **Vendor & Performance Management** - Evaluate supplier performance continuously through report analysis and internal customer feedback. - Communicate directly with suppliers regarding performance expectations, addressing and
