Responsibilities: **Position Summary:** The Blood Donor Center currently has three locations: Campus Blood Donor Center, Medical Center Blood Donor Center, and Mobile Collection sites. The incumbent will be assigned to a primary area but will be expected to work in all three areas as needed and is responsible for the accurate donor selection and follow through of identification and remediation of deficiencies in screening procedures. Sets-up and performs various apheresis and whole blood collection procedures including identification of donor reactions and appropriate intervention. Assists with patient / donor education and follow-up and uses the Nursing Process to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient / donor care.
