The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.* Position Summary The Clinical Care Coordinator II is part of a collaborative nursing team providing day-to-day coordination of clinical activities of assigned physician’s practice, often at multiple sites. This position is working directly with our Division Chief of Orthopedic Spine and Surgeon-in-Chief of Och Spine Hospital at NYP/Allen. Responsibilities - **Essential Duties** - Screen new patient phone calls, request medical records and imaging to be sent in advance for review; assist patient with scheduling appointment for consultation with provider. - Oversees appointment bookings and ensures emergency situations are scheduled appropriately. - Coordination of surgical date with attending and patient, reschedule surgeries as needed, prioritize surgeries in emergent cases. - Provide pre-operative patient education and support; including explanation of diagnosis, upcoming testing and surgical procedure. - Schedule/order pre-operative testing, review completed testing results and report any abnormality to provider. - Prepare charts and imaging for upcoming surgery. - Interface between providers, resident staff as a well as the nurses, therapists, and other support personnel who take part in caring for surgical patients. - Coordinate and facilitate communication between adult hospital, children's hospital and clinic facilities. - Acts as a liaison in recovery room setting on surgical days in combina
