This role supports students across all aspects of campus life, including student activities and organizations, support services, crisis management, student conduct, and leadership development. The position provides in-person assistance, evaluates student needs, and connects individuals with appropriate University resources. The Student Support Generalist uses strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address student concerns and provide consultation to students, faculty, staff, and families. The role also involves extensive outreach to the campus community to support student organizations, co-curricular programs, and large-scale events that enhance the student experience and recognize student achievement. The Student Support Generalist maintains knowledge of current higher education practices and University policies to ensure effective and responsive student services. Beyond direct student support, the role contributes to the continuous improvement of internal processes and operational efficiency. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Students at Purdue University in Indianapolis, with collaborative ties to Purdue West Lafayette leadership, this position is part of a team overseeing all aspects of Student Life, including residential programs, student governance, counseling, crisis response, student conduct, health and wellness services, and recreation.
