Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week. **JOB DESCRIPTION:** **Student employees for this position must:** - Be a current UF degree seeking student registered at a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester - Demonstrate a desire and willingness to learn in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment - Participate in scheduled meetings, trainings, and evaluations - Have the ability to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and academic breaks as needed - Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a high level of professionalism - Be a positive representative of the University of Florida and the Reitz Union - Be comfortable assisting large groups of people ranging from young adolescents to older adults. - Respond to and assist with emergency situations and building evacuations per department procedures or as instructed by building management staff **Position specific responsibilities:** - Commit to working at least 2 shifts (10 hours) per week - Maintain, organize, and inventory equipment, materials, and workspaces within the ACC - Assist with pottery processing, including kiln loading/unloading, glaze dipping, finger sanding, clay cutting, and finished pottery handling (will be trained) - Oversee the paint-a-pot area, ensuring proper use and providing guidance to patrons - Assist and engage with community members, as well as with socials, camps, and classes - Manage customer transactions, including processing card payments
