Under the general direction of the Principal Investigator and Supervising Data Scientist for the Rush Interdisciplinary Consortium for Critical Care Trials and Data Science (RICCC), the Data Scientist will independently develop and execute complex data analysis and statistical modeling projects. The individual will use machine learning and computational methods to preprocess and analyze electronic healthcare record data. Databases will include critical care and ICU datasets, including CLIF (Common Longitudinal ICU Data Format, www.clif-icu.com ), Epic Cosmos data, and multi-center clinical trial data. Summary: This position is responsible supporting our clinical and financial analytics projects using Big Data technologies. The ideal candidate is adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for clinical and financial optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. They must have course work or experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations.
