JOB SUMMARY Works under general supervision of the CDI Manager to act as a clinical subject matter expert, mentor, and liaison for the CDI, Coding, and Quality teams by performing second-level reviews on inpatient University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW) hospital medical records for clinical documentation accuracy. Conducts second-level reviews of targeted cases to identify and capture opportunities to improve the integrity of the medical record. The CDI Coordinator manages various post-discharge, pre-bill work queues, evaluates potential Patient Safety Indicators (PSI), and responds to questions from the CDI team on concurrent patients.
