The Band Assistant Director is an experienced professional with extensive background in Marching Band organizations. The incumbent applies organizational and instructional theories relevant to the unique culture, structure, and performative support to the UCLA Marching and Varsity Bands. This role involves a split focus between Instructional/Program Support (55%) and Logistics/Operations (45%). The Assistant Director acts as a primary instructional leader and operational manager, prioritizing tasks according to established department guidelines and University policies. Position is supervised by and reports to the Director of the UCLA Marching and Varsity Bands. The Assistant Director prioritizes and completes ongoing tasks following established department guidelines and University policies. Assignments are made by the Director and Associate Directors of the UCLA Marching and Varsity Bands and the Department of Music Performance, Education & Composition Manager, with review and guidance as required. **Salary & Compensation** - UCLA provides a full pay range.
