This position serves as the program lead for the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) within the Pinal, Graham, and Cochise County Cooperative Extension. The role is responsible for overseeing the overall administration and daily operations of this USDA funded program and fulfilling its mission to deliver effective nutrition education. The incumbent works independently with guidance from the Director and is responsible for hiring, training, supervising, and supporting a team of Outreach Assistant nutrition educators. The position provides leadership to ensure high quality program delivery and effective staff performance. In coordination with the Director and Business Manager, the position manages program budgets, supports grant financial oversight, maintains program databases, and ensures compliance with all grant requirements, including accurate and timely reporting. The role establishes and maintains strong partnerships with community organizations, collaborates with other EFNEP personnel across counties, and coordinates with internal Cooperative Extension programs (such as Tucson Village Farm and The Garden Kitchen) to support joint programming and events.
