AOD services work to support UF students in gaining better understanding of the impact of substance use, develop programs that help students explore areas that may contribute to substance misuse, and facilitate services/initiatives to support students with goals of changing substance use patterns maintaining substance use goals and/or working towards abstaining and recovery. The AOD Graduate Student Assistant is responsible for assisting in the planning, development, and facilitation of intervention, prevention, and outreach services that center on safe substance use practices of UF students. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: - Assist UF CWC AOD Programs with duties including, but not limited to: - Assisting with scheduling and coordinating AOD program services. - Assisting with planning, development, and implementation of AOD outreach programming (i.e., AOD Awareness Campaigns and Events). - Facilitation and/or participation in tabling events to provide psychoeducation on substance use awareness; including tips/strategies for obtaining campus-wide support for wellness related to substance use or mental health-related concern
