Together, we strive to support the goals of the faculty, staff, and students in teaching, research, and outreach programs. **Job** **Description Summary** The Postdoctoral Research Associate will be located in the Department of Veterinary Integrative Biosciences and the Center for Comparative Genomics, a new campus initiative to expand faculty and research teams focused on basic and applied aspects of genomic research within domestic and natural populations. This position is within the Murphy Lab at Texas A&M University and is broadly focused on the genomic architecture of reproductive isolation in mammals. **Essential Duties/Tasks** - **Bioinformatics:** Carry out bioinformatic analysis of mammalian genome sequence data and generating novel genome assemblies. Use computer software for genome assembly, sequence alignment, and comparative genomic analyses. Develop new software for comparative genomics and phylogenomics. - **Lab Management and Student Training** : Provides general lab management and supervision of undergraduate students and research assistants. - **Grant Writing and Preparation:** Develop and prepare text and budgetary information for grant propos
