This internship is an excellent opportunity to allow the intern’s experience and creativity to shine in various aspects of marketing while working in a fun and professional work environment. The Coates Inc Communications Internship is a professional skills internship to assist the Executive Director in implementing organizational communications and marketing strategies. The Communications Intern will work independently and in a team to fulfill organizational goals and initiatives related to programming, events, and increasing the organization’s social media presence. Start Date: Fall 2026/ Spring 2027 Hours: 5-10 hours/week, including weekly planning meetings with the supervisor Pay: $12.00/hour Join us at Coates Inc. to gain valuable experience while making a meaningful impact in a supportive environment! ## **Qualifications** - Firm grasp of social media tools and platforms including Facebook, Instagram etc. - Previous internship or related experience in marketing or communications a plus - Understanding of the basic principles of public relations and/or marketing - Must be computer literate (working knowledge of word processing, PowerPoint, Excel). - Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Canva, and Photoshop is highly desired. - Knowledge of HTML, website content management, and graphic design - Possess excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills - Genuine enthusiasm for creating compelling marketing materials to support college and careerprogramming - Self-starter, good time management, creative, with the ability to communicate in a professional manner - Ability to work well independently, and within a team - Possess skills at initiating innovative ideas and judging correctly what will appeal to targetaudiences - Exceptional writing ability and experience with writing storie
