Summary: Gynecological Teaching Associates (GTA) are women who are trained to teach, assess, and provide feedback to learners about accurate pelvic, rectal and/or breast examination techniques. They are trained to use their own bodies as teaching tools in a supportive, safe, non-threatening and professional manner. Also, they provide information and feedback on communication skills related to patient comfort and safety in a standardized way.
