Appropriate vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience. **JOB DESCRIPTION:** **Perform general maintenance or preventative maintenance for residence hall facilities** - Input and process work order requests utilizing web-based work order management system. - Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. - Maintain and repair machines, equipment, or devices to access, remove, and repair defective parts using hoists, hand tools, or power tools. - Perform routine and preventative maintenance such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters - Install equipment to improve the energy or operational efficiency of commercial buildings. - Reference diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, and schematic diagrams. - Operate cutting torches, soldering, and brazing equipment to cut or join metal parts. - Complete door, frame, and lock repair, replacement, and/or installations. - Perform general construction tasks such as: remove/install floor and wall tile, repair grout; remove, replace, and/or repair doors and hardware; remove, replace, and/or repair cabinetry; remove, replace, and/or repair windows, window screens, glass, and window blinds; remove, replace, and/or repair gypsum based wall board and finishes; remove, replace, and/or repair ceiling tile and grid; removal and installation of floor covering and finishes: stretch in carpet, glue down carpet, LVT (luxury vinyl tile), VCT (vinyl composite tile, and hard tile (ceramic and porcelain); Demolition of walls, ceilings, gypsu
