## **Summary** Full-time research coordinator position at Texas Children’s Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine. The RC-II will be involved with research projects funded by the National Cancer Institute examining neurocognitive outcomes following diagnosis and treatment for childhood leukemia. The RC-II will coordinate day to day activities of clinical research protocols and will assist with recruitment and study enrollment, data collection and entry, and appropriate documentation and management. The successful applicant will undergo training in administration of neurocognitive assessments and engage in patient-centered activities. Opportunities for scholarship are also available for interested candidates. ## **Job Duties** Generic Duty: Study Management Specific Position Duties: - Recruits research participants - Determines participant eligibility - Provides study descriptions and obtain informed consent - Administers participant incentives - Tracks longitudinal study visit completion Generic Duty: Direct Patient Activity Specific Duties: - Conducts testing procedures required by study protocols, which includes administering neuropsychological tests to patients, scoring neuropsychological tests, reporting test scores to the supervising psychologist, and assisting in interpreting the results. Generic Duty: Documentation Specific Position Duties: - Conducts medical chart abstractions - Manages patient research files - Prepares documentation necessary to obtain continued approval for specific research protocols Generic Duty: Data Management Specific Position Duty: - Develops and maintains databases in Microsoft Excel and statistical software packages (i.e., SPSS). Generic Duty: Training Specific Duty: - Completes all required training modules related to the Responsible Conduct of Research (e.g., CITI Program training).
