The successful candidate is expected to assist with designing and analyzing data within the precision medicine psychiatry laboratory. We are seeking a well-rounded, motivated and enthusiastic individual with prior experience in qPCR, bioinformatic analysis, blood biomarkers, while working in various databases (R, Python) and performing statistical programming (AWS CloudFormation, Stack). This individual should be detailed oriented, conscientious, able to follow instructions, and have the ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner orally and in writing. The University of Arizona has been recognized for our innovative work-life programs. **Duties & Responsibilities** - Under Dr. Niculescu's mentorship, the successful incumbent will conduct experiments and surveys using various tests, routines, and analyses, where procedures are clearly defined and results readily determined. - Assist with qPCR, performing scientific data collections, reductions, and analyses involving routine procedures. - Preform a variety of bioinformatics analyses to identify blood-based biomarkers for suicidality, psychosis, anxiety, and ADHD using gene expression and phenotypic measures. - Maintain detailed records of studies conducted, organize data, prepare data for computer input ,and record computer output. Offload data-intensive calculations such as RNA sequencing to the cloud using programs such as, AWS S3, AWS EC2, and Docker. - Write summaries of projects, documenting findings and procedures used, and assist in writing reports by conducting literature searches
