## **Job Summary** #CA-SS This part-time variable career position serves as an Evaluation Research Specialist for an Evaluation Center and is funded by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Tobacco Prevention Program. The Evaluation Research Specialist will work with a team of other evaluation specialists to perform evaluation research tasks including developing data collection instruments, creating online tracking systems, and collecting/analyzing/interpreting data for multiple clients that service over 100 local health departments in California. The incumbent designs and delivers trainings resources, and systems to help local public health programs with their evaluation plans, conducts evaluation research activities, performs statistical analyses, provides training/technical support, presents project findings in local, state, and national venues, and develops written technical reports. This position reports to the Program Manager of the Evaluation Center. **Apply By Date April 3, 2026 at 11:59PM** **Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position** - Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training - 2 years experience working in priority populations defined by the Tobacco Education and Research Oversight Committee. - Experience in training and development, culturally competent trainings, and facilitation. - Demonstrated experience formulating and conducting tobacco-control research or advocacy evaluation studies, data collection approaches and analytical strategies. - 2 years experience analyzing data, producing data visualizations that clearly communicate the data story, managing datasets and creating PowerPoint presentations to boards of supervisors, city councils, chambers of commerce, housing authorities, community coalitions, and other public health policy advocates. - 2 years experience practicing adult and young adult educati
