A National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center since 2001. **Summary** **Position Highlights** Registered pharmacy technician performs pharmacy tasks and duties as delegated by a licensed pharmacist that do not fall within the purview of Florida Statue 465.003(13). All such delegated acts will be performed under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist who is responsible for all such acts performed by persons under his or her supervision as outlined in Florida Statue 465.014. These supervised tasks and duties include but are not limited to: initiating or receiving communications with patient provider team members to facilitate patient care for: refill authorization requests, assisting in patient appointment review, medical records review, insurance authorization review, processing of prescriptions, including investigational medications utilized in clinical trials in compliance with policies and procedures set forth by the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and/or medications associated with Risk Evaluation Mitigation Strategies (REMS).
