Requisition Id 16125 **Overview:** We are seeking a Healthcare Data Analyst who will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in healthcare data management, statistical design and analysis, and reporting, to improve care quality, reduce costs, and enhance patient experience. This position resides in the Health Services Division, Environmental, Safety, Health, and Quality Directorate, at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). **Major Duties/Responsibilities:** - Serve as the lead SME for healthcare analytics activities for Health Services Division (HSD). - Consulting on strategic design and responsibility for performing data analytics to include data collection, cleaning, management, analysis, and visualization. - Execute projects and tasks as directed by the Division Director/Medical Director, HSD Group Leader, and HSD Compliance Officer. - Compiling and organizing healthcare data for purpose of analysis and reporting. - Converting data into usable information that is easy to understand. - Analyzing data to solve problems using experience and knowledge to deliver optimal healthcare management. - Understanding data storage and data sharing methods. - Work closely with senior technical staff on technical projects using data to drive solutions and streamlined practices. - Possessing strong administrative and organizational skills. - Communicating analytic insights to management. - Independently working and solving technical problems and making recommendations to management through written reports or presentations. - Other duties supporting HSD needs at the discretion of division leadership based on education, training, and experience. - Deliver ORNL’s mission by aligning behaviors, priorities, and interactions with our core values of Impact, Integrity, Teamwork, Safety, and Service.
