Outreach Coordinator will provide support, assistance, and guidance to the Vet Up! National Academy community to ensure participants have a successful experience. Report to Dr. Darryl Ragland and serve as the liaison for partnering institutions. Participate in recruiting students from partner institutions into Vet Up! programs to facilitate Vet Up!-related activities. Work closely with Vet Up! students and their career counselors/advisors to ensure students receive the support needed to attain the next educational level and graduate with a D.V.M. degree. Meet with participating students and their counselors/advisors at partner institutions to review each student’s plan for achieving the next educational level, review student transcripts, discuss areas to strengthen competitiveness, assist students in applying for PVM summer educational program opportunities, and provide any updates to PVM admissions standards. Conduct regular "check-ins" with Vet Up! students to assess signs of challenges, connect students with professional resources, and provide structured advising, mentoring, and educational activities. Review each Vet Up!
