**Temple University's College of Liberal Arts: Criminal Justice Department is searching for a Part-Time Temporary Web Designer!** **Hourly Rate: $35.00** **This is a grant-funded position ending August 31, 2026.** **Position Summary** The Department of Criminal Justice at Temple University is seeking to hire a part-time, temporary web designer with WordPress skills. This part-time, temporary position is ideal for someone early in their career who wants meaningful responsibility and the opportunity to build on existing design and front-end web skills, but also engage in additional tasks to develop web-based resources for community and government agencies working to reduce community violence. The role will focus on front-end design, layout, and content implementation, including refining page structure, formatting and uploading content, improving visual consistency, and helping ensure the site is user-friendly across devices. The primary goal of the project is to support the continued development of ARCvi (Actionable Resources for Change in Violence Intervention), a new, not-yet-launched WordPress website focused on strengthening community violence intervention efforts across Philadelphia and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Web Designer will work closely with faculty in the Department of Criminal Justice and the Public Policy Lab. **Job Details** - This position is 100% Remote. **Required Education and Experience** - Bachelor’s degree in graphic or web design, digital media, user experience (UX) design, communications, computer science, field. - At least two (2) years’ experience in the information technology or related field. - At least 2 years’ experience with WordPress (themes, pages, plugins).
