Positions can be located at: - UC Irvine - Campus - UC Irvine Medical Center - Orange - Costa Mesa - Laguna Hills - Newport Beach - Santa Ana - Anaheim - Tustin - Yorba Linda/Placentia - Lakewood - Los Alamitos Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to: - Interviewing patients for admission to UCI medical facilities. - Making financial arrangements for hospital and clinic patients. - Insurance verification and pre-authorizations. - Maintaining medical records. - Patient scheduling and re-scheduling. Qualifications: **Required:** - Knowledge of medical terminology. - Data entry experience. - Experience using electronic medical records (EMS) systems. - Experience working in customer service environments. - Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English. - 1-3 years of general clerical experience or completion of vocational training in the medical front office field. **Preferred:** - Experience working in a medical setting for one year or more. - Experience with EPIC EMR system. - Knowledge of healthcare insurances. - Experience with billing. **Total Compensation** In addition to the salary range listed below
