Discover your opportunities at Yale! **Overview** Reporting dually to the Executive Director for Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and the Senior Director of Finance & Administration for the Vice Provost for Research units, the Lead Administrator serves as the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer and a key strategic partner to EHS leadership. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Lead Administrator plays a critical role in shaping organizational strategy, stewarding resources, and ensuring operational excellence across the unit. This role provides comprehensive leadership over EHS’s financial, administrative, and operational functions, managing an annual operating budget of approximately $18 million and providing administrative oversight for approximately 70 staff, including managerial & professional, clerical, and technical employees. The Lead Administrator ensures that EHS is positioned to meet its mission through strategic planning, resource optimization, and effective organizational design. The role requires: - **Strategic Organizational Leadership:** Ability to assess and analyze the current organizational structure of EHS sections and partner with managers to design, refine, and operationalize necessary changes.
