## **Job Summary** This position supports the departmental purpose by providing skilled anatomical laboratory services, including accessioning, grossing, and assisting with intraoperative consultations, within Anatomic Pathology. Ensures timely and accurate specimen receipt, accessioning and grossing analysis and assists with intraoperative consultations. Performs scheduled maintenance, testing and quality control processes on complex automated equipment and instruments, including the preparation of reagents. Performs accurate and efficient grossing procedures for biopsies and minor surgical specimens under the direction of a pathologist. Assists with daily triaging and processing of resection specimens for frozen section, research, routine processing and/or ancillary studies. Selection activities may start at any time.** **Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position** - An earned bachelor's degree in a chemical or biological science or medical laboratory technology, obtained from an accredited institution. - Experience working in an Anatomic Pathology Laboratory setting (e.g. Histology, Grossing, Cytology). - Experience grossing biopsies and minor surgical specimens. - Knowledge and experience with cryofreezing and cutting frozen sections using a cryostat. - Experience using EPIC Beaker. - Incumbent must possess the minimum level of experience for non-Pathologist personnel performing gross examinations as outlined by CLIA and College of American Pathologists (CAP) and provide documentation to demonstrate compliance (provide resume for experience). - Must possess working knowledge of medical terminology, basic human anatomy and technical knowledge to complete assigned tasks and knowledge of basic chemistry and biology for understanding methods used in the laborato
