**What You Will Do** The Product Realization and Reliability Office (PRRO) in Nuclear Production Operations consists of a multidisciplinary group of engineers and scientists that support plutonium programs (i.e., pit production, surveillance, research & development, and subcritical experiments) across the entire Nuclear Production Operations organization. The PRRO is seeking experienced Systems Engineers to provide comprehensive engineering analysis support for all plutonium production activities. In this role, you will be responsible for: - Detailed modeling and optimization of critical production processes including metal refining, melting, casting, heat treatment, forming, machining, and welding. - Comprehensive analytical support for the design and development of production tooling, fixtures, and specialized process equipment. - Tackling a wide range of complex problems, from simple hand calculations to highly sophisticated system-of-systems analyses. - Completing and documenting all work within cost and schedule constraints. - Presenting your findings for peer review and providing feedback on other engineer's work. - Providing detailed analyses that will cover a wide range of difficult problems requiring solutions that are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organizational objectives.
