**What You Will Do** The Safeguards Science and Technology organization's purpose is to defend against state-actor misuse of nuclear materials by developing and testing new technologies for domestic and international safeguards and providing training for the safeguard's community. We are seeking science and engineering Post Master candidates who want to make an impact in one or more areas of our Global Security mission. The organization accomplishes this mission by fostering a work environment that encourages creative problem solving, teamwork, and passion for the mission while allowing flexibility in the work assignment. ******What You Need**** **Minimum Job Requirements:**** - Masters in science, engineering or a closely related field completed within the last five years, or soon to be completed, is required. - Demonstrated knowledge and skills in science or engineering, including computer science. - Demonstrated ability to communicate (verbal and written) well in a professional scientific context and commitment to achieving results in a complex social and organizational setting. - Self-motivated and with the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a multi-disciplinary research environment and interact successfully with a variety of research & development, and commercial organizations. - Experience working in a team environment. **Desired Qualifications:** - Experience or advanced course work in nuclear nonproliferation, design of radiation detection systems or nuclear reactor design - Ability to be innovative in leveraging skills (such as the analysis of large data sets or expertise in programming) to solve difficult technical problems. - Demonstrated experience and in-depth understanding of quantitative measurements and uncertainty analysis for physical science or engineering, especially for radioactive or nuclear materials. - Demonstrated experience in Monte Carlo modeling of NDA signatures for analyzing data, identifying outcomes, and instrument desig
