Reporting to the SBDC Director, this position is responsible for managing the day-to-day Temple SBDC financial operations including: grant invoicing and reporting, budget management, proposal preparation, and compliance. The Associate Director of Finance works closely with the Director in the execution of duties and in planning, organizing, implementing, managing, and evaluating Temple SBDC financial activities, assists in the development and financial management of other Temple SBDC projects and programs. On behalf of the Temple SBDC, the Associate Director of Finance is responsible for initiating, coordinating and ensuring compliance with university procedures, including personnel and fiscal activities, those of the Small Business Administration (SBA), the State of PA, the City of Philadelphia, and others as appropriate. The incumbent will manage and maintain financial oversight of all SBDC grant and non-grant funded accounts, including monitoring revenue, budget expenditures including transactions, prepare and process journal entries, invoice payments, check requests, cash reimbursements, purchase orders, reconcile department credit cards, review and analyze fund balances; process payroll for student workers, formulate policies and planning the use of facilities, events, and resources, and enforce operating policy
