## **Job Summary** Working in the Department of Plant Sciences under general supervision of the HR Supervisor and working closely with Department Chair/Vice Chairs and Dean’s office Academic Personnel Analyst, serve as an academic personnel expert in the department. Provide analytical and administrative support for all actions pertaining to academic personnel matters. **Apply By Date****: April 20, 2026** **Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position** - Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. - Experience performing the full range of academic personnel functions including policy interpretation in a unionized higher education setting; coordinating personnel appointments of academics (senate and non-senate faculty, RA unit) and knowledge of payroll matters. - Experience with academic advancement; recruitment, selection and retention; classification and compensation administration; and employee and labor relations of academic employees. - Experience working in a professional environment managing projects and multiple tasks including working with faculty or PIs, establishing good rapport to perform in a fast-paced environment, planning and coordinating assignments, adapting to changing priorities, meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of productivity efficiency with strong political acumen and diplomacy in handling and responding to sensitive or difficult situations. - Quantitative analytical skills to gather information, find, evaluate and analyze complex data from a wide variety of sources, prepare budgets, present statistical and financial information in appropriate and understandable formats for business planning and evaluation.
