Tufts Medical Center’s Audiology department offers both diagnostic and treatment services at the main hospital campus in downtown Boston. Our audiologists work closely with a busy ambulatory ENT practice within the hospital and provide services for inpatients as needed. We provide newborn hearing screening services for the mother infant unit and neonatal intensive care unit, as well as follow up diagnostic testing for newborns including auditory brainstem response testing. Additional services offered by our department include hearing aids, hearing implants, vestibular evaluations, and sedated ABR. Flexible hours: 24-40 hours per week **Job Profile Summary** This role focuses on assessing the needs of patients who have physical, mental, or emotional disabilities and delivering therapy services to improve their developmental, physical or cognitive impairment. In addition, this role focuses on performing the following Audio/Speech Therapy related duties: Evaluates patients and uses sound therapy to improve physical and mental conditions. Responsibilities also include improving physical and mental conditions through treating a variety of speech disorders and communication difficulties. A professional individual contributor role that may direct the work of other lower level professionals or manage processes and programs. The majority of time is spent overseeing the design, implementation or delivery of processes, programs and policies using specialized knowledge and skills typically acquired through advanced education. A senior level role that requires advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
