The Smart Factory & Digital Transformation Group is seeking a highly motivated First Line Manager to support important national security missions at LANL. PSS-5's primary core functions are to facility the Digital Transformation of ALDWP operations and establish an integrated Smart Factory. The Manufacturing Support Manager 3, First Line Manager (FLM), will report to the Group Leader and will provide management and leadership to the Software Systems Development team. The FLM will have the responsibility, authority, and accountability to execute work that supports programmatic milestones and deliverables while setting standards for professional behavior. Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Planning, organizing, and defining strategic objectives. - Establishing scope, schedule, and budget through work package development, resource and performance management, and ensuring worker qualification and authorization. - Delivering quality products and/or services, enforces adherence to quality standards, achieves balance between the need to meet both productivity goals and quality standards. - Working with facility operations staff to execute work safely, securely, with quality, and in compliance with nuclear facility requirements. - Ensures direct daily oversight of work, workers and the work environment. - Ongoing communications with line management reporting on work status, deliverables, and commitments. - Directing and overseeing work performed by employees including "on the floor" supervision. - Effective time management skills and the ability to deal effectively with changing priorities and conflicting demands. - Effective teamwork in accomplish
