The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.* Position Summary Columbia University's Department of Microbiology & Immunology is seeking a highly motivated and energetic full-time Research Coordinator to join the Fidock Lab with a primary appointment in the Department of Microbiology & Immunology, and the Center for Malaria Therapeutics and Antimicrobial Resistance housed in the Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Medicine. This Research Coordinator will perform a variety of tasks to the advance the research and educational missions of the Center for Malaria Therapeutics and Antimicrobial Resistance in the Department of Medicine. Responsibilities The Research Coordinator will work directly with Dr. Fidock, the Center Director, and will be assigned tasks under the direct supervision of the Director. Responsibilities include: - Perform related research duties as assigned. This will include experiments to study *Plasmodium falciparum* resistance to antimalarial compounds. These include, but are not limited to: cell culture, PCR, resistance selections with antiparasitic compounds, drug assays, transfections, and microscope use. - Actively maintain the Center website as well as the Fidock Lab website. Also assist with keeping websites up to date for affiliated faculty members.
