Responsibilities: The position of APP Supervisor in the Department of Emergency Medicine, requires a highly competent, independent yet team-oriented individual who supervises advanced practice providers (APP or APPs) responsible for patient evaluation, testing, diagnosis, plans of care, and treatment within a clinical department or specialty practice area. As a supervisor, receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the processes by which to attain them. As a Nurse Practitioner, participates in the comprehensive care of patients in the ambulatory or inpatient settings and provide multi-disciplinary care coordination, treatment, education, monitoring, and communication with patients and referring physicians. A Nurse Practitioner is an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) who possesses the advanced education, knowledge, clinical skills and experience necessary to provide advanced nursing care in their area of specialization
