Responsibilities: **Position Summary:** The Rapid Response Team (RRT) Registered Nurse is responsible for the coordination of Code Blue and Rapid Response Team assessment of patient prioritization and additionally responds to Code Stroke calls.. Responds to rapid response alerts; facilitating appropriate nursing care for urgent/emergent potential and actual clinical deterioration, and implementing advanced nursing interventions for optimal patient outcomes, including Point of Care Ultrasounds, iSTAT laboratory, and performance of ABGs and insertion of Intraosseus devices. Acts as the clinical resource for physicians and staff, and evaluates patient scoring for potential deterioration, ensuring inclusion in surveillance rounding to enhance patient care.
