This role will serve as a senior resource, applying expertise in virtualization, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, infrastructure as a service, and storage to support the Texas A&M Private Cloud. **Qualifications** - Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience - 8 years of related information technology experience **A well-qualified candidate should possess one or more of the following:** - In-depth familiarity with Linux operating systems and directory services such as OpenLDAP, as well as experience with Microsoft Active Directory/Entra. - Proficient in virtualization, storage, backup systems, and disaster recovery. - Experience with DevOps methodologies and CI/CD processes, using platforms like GitHub or GitLab. - Familiarity with Kubernetes and Container orchestration. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Node.js, HCL, Terraform. - Experience deploying system architectures in public cloud environments (Google, Azure, AWS). - Experience writing and consuming REST APIs and cloud web services like Azure, AWS and GCP - Experience in strategic disaster recovery and business continuity planning is desirable. **Skills, Knowledge and Abilities** - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. - Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and approaches. - Ability to manage client relations and assess requirements effectively. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, facilitating knowledge sharing and solution integration. - Influencing strategic partnerships and integ
