Responsibilities: **Position Summary:** Reporting to the Anatomic Pathology Manager, incumbent is responsible for securing bodies from morgue and preparing them for autopsy. Assists in performing autopsies including weights and measures. Prepares body after autopsies, and completes the process through to mortuaries, ensuring the appropriate documentation and release of body. Preserves and prepares surgical and autopsy specimens for conference and further examination by pathologist. Labels and stores specimens. mixes preservative solutions. photographs bodies, autopsy, and surgical specimens. maintains records and supplies. maintains cleanliness of autopsy room, frozen section rooms, and the proper functioning of equipment.
