Responsibilities: **Position Summary:** The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for providing the pre-anesthesia assessment and co-management of patients with unstable and complicated illnesses, in collaboration with the Anesthesiologist. Will obtain a health history and a physical assessment, identify problems, formulate plans that include education and counseling and the evaluation of developmental stages and the management of common acute and chronic stable conditions. Integrates the nursing process, collaborates with other health care professionals, maintains continuity of care, coordinates community services and assists with projects.
