**What You Will Do** The Biochemistry and Biotechnology Group (B-TEK) in the Bioscience Division is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic post-bachelor's candidate interested in performing research within the facets of biological sciences. The successful candidate will work with a team of scientists, technologists, and students on multiple projects related to mammalian cell culture models. The student will be expected to contribute to different projects as need arises. The ideal student must be meticulous in their work, self-starting, independent, and able to communicate in a professional manner. The term of the appointment is 2 years with opportunities to extend the appointment by transitioning to other types of LANL positions or continuing education. The student will also act as a member of the Biochemistry and Biotechnology Group (B-TEK) and as a member of the cell culture and mass spectrometry teams. Responsibilities include conducting research and reporting results back to the team at weekly meetings. Furthermore, opportunities will arise to assist in crafting peer-reviewed publications and grant proposals. The student will be encouraged to attend seminars and other LANL functions to expand their knowledge base and broaden interests.
