II **CLASSIFICATION MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:** Master's degree in in an appropriate area; or a bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, planning or building construction and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. **JOB DESCRIPTION:** **Key Responsibilities** **Project & Facilities Management** - Manage a diverse portfolio of UF/IFAS construction, renovation, capital‑improvement, and utility‑infrastructure projects across the state. - Identify and prioritize projects related to deferred maintenance, facility upgrades, and infrastructure needs. - Develop project scopes and negotiate contracts with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors. - Coordinate closely with user groups to ensure project requirements, timelines, and expectations are met. - Oversee construction activities from planning through warranty and close‑out, ensuring full compliance with funding regulations and UF procedures. - Provide technical expertise and leadership to other IFAS/FPO project managers. - Travel to UF/IFAS locations statewide, including occasional overnight trips using a state vehicle. **Facilities Analysis & Strategic Improvements** - Assess existing facilities and infrastructure to develop solutions that reduce deferred‑maintenance backlogs with minimal supervision. - Research, analyze, and interpret data for special projects, communicating findings to construction and maintenance teams. - Recommend updates to policies, procedures, and best practices to improve operational efficiency and project delivery. **Collaboration on Major UF Projects** - Partner with UF Planning, Design & Construction on major IFAS projects to ensure alignment with IFAS goals and user
