## **Overview** Come join Intuit as a Software Engineer 1 on the Future of Discovery & Engagement (FODE) team within QuickBooks. FODE powers **adoption and awareness, upgrades and conversion, and repeat consumption** across high-traffic product surfaces. We are building the next-generation contextual discovery and personalization platform that embeds intelligent, real-time recommendations directly into customer workflows. As an SWE1, you will contribute to building scalable, high-performance web experiences that support experimentation, personalization, and AI-driven discovery. You’ll work closely with senior engineers, product managers, designers, and data scientists to help deliver customer-centric experiences that drive measurable business outcomes. This role is ideal for engineers early in their careers who are excited to build impactful customer-facing features, learn modern web architectures, and grow within a high-visibility, growth-focused platform team. **Responsibilities** - Design, build, and maintain scalable web applications using **ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS**. - Implement reusable, modular UI components that support experimentation, personalization, and contextual discovery. - Build responsive, accessible (WCAG-compliant), and internationalized experiences across browsers and devices. - Integrate frontend applications with backend services (Node.js/Java/Kotlin) powering recommendation engines, experimentation platforms, and real-time targeting systems. - Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices. - Develop and maintain automated test coverage using **Cypress or Playwright** for end-to-end testing. - Contribute to instrumentation and telemetry to measure customer engagement and feature performance. - Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes. - Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance. - Collaborate effectively with
